Recruitment Salesperson wanted

Hungry for success?
Institute for Development (IfD) is hungry for change in the development sector in Sierra Leone. We want to help make the sector more agile and support it to deliver more high-quality interventions that work.

One of the ways we are doing this is through SierraLeoneVettedConsultants – a niche website where NGOs and other development agencies can recruit high-quality consultants at the touch of a button.
We are looking for a Salesperson to help us achieve this. You will be responsible for ensuring that identified consultants register on the website and for selling subscriptions of the platform to NGOs and other agencies in the development sector. Initially, we will be offering free accounts so recruiters can try out the platform. You will also be responsible for selling other IfD products such as training.

Tasks
Clients
– Sell subscriptions to NGOs and other agencies in the development sector using a range of methods including emails, phone calls, face to face
– Organise events for potential clients
– Deliver presentations at appropriate fora
– Contribute to marketing efforts

Consultants
– Support consultants to improve their profiles
– Organise events for consultants to support their consulting business efforts and build a vibrant community

Development
– Provide feedback from consultants and clients to improve the website
– Liaise with webmaster as appropriate

– Contribute insights on how the SLVC business can be further developed

Knowledge
Understanding of how the development sector works
Understanding of how to sell

Experience
Experience in recruitment sales
Experience of selling technology-based products, e.g. mobile telephony, internet services, online banking etc
2 or more years of sales experience

Skills
Good computer skills and comfortable using a range of communication platforms
First-rate interpersonal skills
Good writing skills – be able to write emails with good grammar and spelling
Ability to sell the benefits of the IfD services

Terms
Contractor
5.5% withholding tax applied
Basic of Le2,500,000 per month +Le 500,000 for every account sold.
Annual on-target earnings (OTE): Le 100,000,000
Travel allowance: Le500,000 per month
Modem and telephone provided
Laptop provided if the successful candidate does not have sole access to one
Top-up allowance of Le200,000 per month
Access to the IfD Hub with free, fast wifi
